Deep Sea Fishing

Mike had to work in Vero Beach so we booked a fishing trip with our favorite captain. Captain Lew. He recently got a new boat and it is much smaller although more powerful. He takes only 6 people out a day.
We went out about 25 miles off shore. Surprisingly it is still shallow that far off. We were fishing at levels of 80-100 ft.
We caught some really big red snappers. Sadly tho, they are not "in season" neither were the Black Sea bass we caught dozens of. And I do mean dozens. However, we did manage to snag a few porgies and triggerfish. Both good eats.
Because we had to throw back so many fish we caught there were some that the hook was too deep and they would just float and die next to the boat (no you still can't keep them) a huge shark found the throwbacks very yummy. He was about 9 ft and he circled the boat several times eating his fill. In the picture of the water you can just make out his fin.
Mike caught a baby shark. But we had to throw him back too.
Overall a decent day of fishing. Still no Big Fish story yet!
