Yay! Its Summer Time!

Yay! Summer is here!
The boys got out of school on June 1st.
Christina is taking summer classes so she
will get her degree sooner.
We took the boys on a long bike ride on
what is by far the best bike trail we've ever
been on.
We love riding it for miles. Except for the bridge.
Its fun to go down the other side, but quite
a workout to get to the top.
On the way back we stop at the creek.
And climb trees.
We love exploring the areas.
 Just have to watch out
for alligators, banana spiders, poison ivy,
 poison oak, bears, wildcats.
Caleb loves the rope swing.  He flies far out over the water.
This was as far as Zachary got.
My brother Leonard came into town on May 24th.
to help with my brother Frank and Dave.
We visited with them several times and had some
fun evenings. Here we are playing Taboo.
Leonard left on May 31st at the same time Mom
came in. She was here till June 7th.
She came over for dinner and visited with all of us,
(Frank and Dave stayed home for some alone time)
and we also met up for
breakfast before leaving on our trip to
Pensacola, Fl. Sunday June 5th.
Pensacola is about 7 1/2 hours north of us.
We couldn't stay at our favorite hotel,
so we found a great 2 bedroom 2 bath condo on the beach.
We spent hours at the beach.
Zachary is trying to learn how to surf.
Im sure you will recognize this playground.
We love being able to eat while the kids play.
This time they also had a huge water slide.
This was our condos private fishing dock.
I circled our condo.
Mike worked most of the days while the boys and I
swam in the pool or the ocean.
We go thru alot of sunscreen.
Coloring is one of their favorite things to do in the evenings.
Don't mind that a bit!
Our second night there we ordered Sushi.
Always have to order enough for Caleb
to share with us.  Zachary had mac n cheese.

Did you notice how he plucks off the eyeball and eats it?

The next few nights I cooked.
Mussels in garlic sauce, salmon with pesto,
stuffed crab. The next night was snapper on a salad.
This is breakfast.
We got home on Friday and Saturday Caleb had a
golf tournament.
His game was a little off today, but he still played
well enough to earn a bronze metal.
3rd place!

A nice little chip up to the green.

A nice straight drive right up the middle.
There was a little celebration party afterwards
and the kids got funky hats.
Today we are leaving for Fort Pierce.
Tomorrow we are taking the boys Deep Sea Fishing.
I'm so happy I can do videos now.
There would be some of Zachary if only he would stop hiding
every time I try. Or else when he notices, he just stops
and does absolutely nothing.

On a sad note, our pet turtle Speedy died this week.
We found him in 1998.  He was 13 years old.
Not sure why or what happened.  He seemed fine
when we left.   We buried him near Einstein.
