Busy Week!

Christina was in a Harley Davidson bikini contest and photo shoot. She didn't get top 3 (the judges must have been blind) but she had fun anyway.

Mike and I went to our monthly dinner at Alicia's in Port Orange. This months theme was an Evening in Morocco. We, along with 12 other people cook everything from appetizers to dessert then we dine. It's always a lot of fun.
May 4th we celebrated our last Den meeting as Bears and had a Cinco De Mayo feast. (No margaritas or wine at the meeting, that was for afterwards.) I turned this fabulous spread into a wonderful lunch.
My chipotle chicken and chorizo refried beans were a hit. The ground beef was standard taco meat for the unadventurous.
After the meal the scouts shot bows and arrows.  Mike picked up bails of hay and made targets.

Then that night Christina and I played guys versus girls against Anthony, mike and Caleb and GIRLS won!! Mike had no idea I'm a good shot with a bow thanks to my Girl Scout years. :)
Every few months in the mail I receive a local magazine from our city. It was fun to open it and see this picture. We knew someone had taken our pictures and got our names at a school event last month but we'd forgotten all about it.
Caleb had school photos taken several weeks ago. (I will send them out) The week before Caleb's pic, Zachary's school apparently did them too, but he didn't want his picture taken so he didn't give us the form to sign and pay. That means no picture of him to send.
Mike stopped by our friends construction site and had a tour of the fancy hotel he is overseeing.
We have been going to universal studios as much as possible before the summer crowd hits. We won't go when all the tourists are there. We are too spoiled with 5 minute waits to stand in line for 2 hours! The boys progress reports were really good so we took them out at lunchtime to spend the day there.
The boys decided to do a rock walk climb. Mike and I were wearing flip flops so we just cheered them on.
What a silly cat. Me Bugs loves the bathtub.
Saturday morning we had to be at UCF for Operation Give Back 5 and 10Ks. It benefits wounded veterans. Our pack was the last water station for the runners.
The kids really enjoyed handing out the water cups and always laughed when the runners would drench themselves.
We were there from 6:30am to 9:30 am.
After we left UCF we spent the day at universal again. This time at IOA. (Islands Of Adventure)
They played carnival games and each one big stuffed animals.

Mike and I dined on smoked turkey legs. Yum!
Zachary is brave enough to go on all the big coasters and even raises his hands. Yay!! Caleb is getting there. He went on the log ride and Dr Doom both of which have feel falls. He kept his eyes closed!
We met up with our friends Steve and Jennifer on Sunday. This is Zachary and Tyler at universals Rip Ride Rocket. Tyler is in Caleb's den.
Lunch was at finnegans. It's an Irish pub.

The park was pretty empty and we were able to go on every ride and several twice. We also did the Disaster Ride and they pulled Zachary and Steve from the audience to be in the movie.
Here are the roofs being built for the new Harry Potter area Diagon Alley. Can't wait till this opens!
Saturday night we got a hotel room next to the park. They upgraded us to the penthouse. It sleeps 6 so Christina and Anthony joined us for dinner and we watched the NASCAR race.
The room has 2 floors and the boys spent most of their time sliding down the stairs.
Since the boys and I will be in Az over Father's Day this weekend was Parent's Day for us. It was a lot of fun!
